Slovakia

I don't feel people are upset when they see a breasfeeding mom. I do it pretty discretly, the other day I had to breasfeed in a hotel's restaurant and it was OK.

Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your story Diana! I find it very considerate on your part to be discrete while breastfeeding in public. While mothers should be encouraged to feed their babies anywhere they are and any time their babies get hungry, there is no reason to become extremely "exhibitionistic" about it.

Sincerely,
Viktoriya

Uruguay

Uruguay is a breastfeeding-friendly country too. It's considered something natural, mothers don't have to leave public places because of breastfeeding.

Some feel like covering more than others, but that's just a personal preference. It would be considered too cruel to ask a mother to leave a place like a café, because of feeding her baby.

Thank you for sharing your story! It is music to my ears to hear about countries where mothers feel free to breastfeed wherever they are and whenever their babies get hungry. Hurrah to breastfeeding mothers in Uruguay!

Sincerely,
Viktoriya
